In today’s amazing time of e-learninging, MOOC’s, and other online training techniques - it is easy to forget about the mainstay of training - instructor led courses! In fact, on line training only accounts for 30% of training according to the ASTD. So while we are often focused on the newest technology, what can we do to support instructor led training. Docebo has done a great job releasing a new Instructor Led Training Module. In reviewing this module, I thought it would be a great chance to review the major features that you should look for!
Robust Location Set Up:

One of the simplest aspects, but most important parts of instructor led training modules is Docebo went the extra mile -and added in Google Maps and the ability to add a photograph of the locations to make it easier for trainees to find the classroom. Of course, for the larger enterprises, Docebo added in an import function to easily load in lots of locations making sure you can set up locations. You may have the same course in two different buildings. Aside from the normal name, addresses, and contact points -
But within that, Docebo designed it so you could set up separate class rooms for each location. Too often, these two functions are combined which makes the locations section a mess. Here you can keep it clean.
1. Easy enrollment or importing of registrants
2. Tracking of attendance
3. Recording achievements
4. Developing Certiferactes of completion
Setting up Courses and Sessions:
It is important to not only be able to set up courses, but also to create sessions within the courses. So you may have a three day course - but within that course - you may have 3 sessions. For seasoned instructors, you are already well aware that often each day may be in a different location or classroom based on the type of training event for the day (e.g. course delivery, small group exercises, or triads).Participant tracking:
Docebo also did a great job adding the major functionality that you would want in an instructor led LMS - which is the following:1. Easy enrollment or importing of registrants
2. Tracking of attendance
3. Recording achievements
4. Developing Certiferactes of completion
