Interesting Study on HR Priorities and Current Effectiveness

KPMG did a very good study on the HR Function, the first part asked respondents where they thought the future needs of HR will be. The top two reasons are:

  • 71% of respondents said that their company's growth across borders had grown across borders and more than half have international reporting relationships and/or talent flows.
  • 84% of respondents said that in a more competitive global marketplace, coming up with the best talent will be a key tool in the company's ability to function

But on the comparison side, the study also asked where HR excelled today:

  • Number one answer (with 39% answering it) was reducing cost
  • Only 25% of respondents said they were good at sourcing talent globally.
