#HRTechconf - what a great start to the day

I had the pleasure to bring some of my wonderful co-workers and share with them the excitement that surrounds the HR Technology Show. So while there is a ton going on - here are my current takeaways

1. The Maturity of the Product has truly, truly arrived.

I heard someone joke, that you can throw a rock in any direction and hit a vendor with an ATS - which I am learning is definitely the truth. But here is what I am finding - every vendor that we have seen so far has really good product. The standard of product is definitely higher.

2. The Investor Community is recognizing this too!

It look a long time for the investor community to fund and grow out the companies to support this sector, and it is happening at an even bigger pace now! Obviously you have Oracle, IBM and SAP who bought three best of breed companies - and there are lots of releases coming out at the conference of other acquisitions (e.g. Knowledge Infusion - Congrats to Jason and Heidi)

3. Product Delineation is going to be more and more of an issue!

With everyone moving to integrated talent management, the question of how much can the market bare - is going to be a pertinent question - both from an investor and a buyer perspective. When everyone has a pretty good LMS and Talent Management system - it is going to be even more critical to have a solid answer to what makes you different and/or better?
