Argentina: Social Tax Wage Ceiling Increases Over 35% in 2012
The monthly ceiling on wages subject to social taxes in Argentina has increased by 37.4% in 2012. In 2011, the ceiling was ArP13,879. Due to routine inflation adjustments, it had been scheduled to increase to ArP16,241 in 2012. Instead, the government increased the ceiling to ArP19,071 to strengthen the finances of the social welfare system. This is the equivalent of about US$4,350 or €3,328, which is still considerably lower than the comparable ceiling in most developed countries.Original Page: http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/towerswatson/research/~3/AgSVPMfk2tY/7004
