Forbes did a great article on how Executive Compensation should be reconsidered.

"What is the likelihood that the Executive Vice-President of Human Resources, who reports directly to the CEO, would go forward arguing that the company should eliminate stock-based compensation? Close to zero. So there is a real stickiness problem."
